Your mom once had me sit with her at that kitchen table when she heard my atheist comments... or maybe it was Vince who told her how spiritually lost I'd become. I don't quite remember. But it was a time when I lost faith and any belief in God. Well that day your mom had a gave me a talk and presented challenging questions. The one specific example I remember was that she told me to look at the stars in the night sky, and how is it possible that things like this just came to be. Well something clicked that day. I started to see that there must be more, there must be a creator... she started a transition for me that started to challenge my position and take away my doubts. I don't think I can adequatley describe how much your mom and family meant to me after right after high school, especially when I was down. There were many times I drove into town for the weekend from Erie, and never made it past Greenville to see my family or anyone else... your mom was rich in wisdom and service... thanks Mrs U... I haven't cried since who knows when... crying now... carry on Utlaks... you have been given much by way of great parenting... you have a lot to live up to
