Loutzenhiser-Jordan Online Guestbook for Mary Pat McParland
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mary Pat. May you take comfort in knowing that our Creator, Jehovah God, is "the God of all comfort." (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4; Psalm 83:18) "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) And so he invites you to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) I hope you all take care and please accept my sincerest condolences. I am honored and blessed to have known Mary Pat McParland. She was an amazing teacher, coach and mentor. She was truly a blessing in my life as well as many others. I will never forget the times I would go to my sisters basketball practices and she would always have me show the older kids how to do something. It was always a learning lesson that we may not have understood at the time. However, it taught me to strive harder and be a leader. She was truly an amazing lady that came into my life and left her footprints for me to follow. She will continue to participate in every act, thought and decision I make. Her love, leadership and teachings leaves an imprint in our memories that will never be forgotten. We must find comfort in knowing that our lives have been touched by another angel. There are no goodbyes for she will always be in our hearts. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

As a new teacher at St. Mike's I only knew Mary Pat for a short time. However in the short time she made me feel welcome, loved, and valued as a member of the SMS family. The students speak of her daily, I know she has left a lasting impact on every student she had. We will continue to keep her spirit alive at SMS. God Bless.

Mary Pat was a gentle soul that I had the pleasure of taking care of during her short stay at UPMC Horizon in Greenville. She was so kind and I enjoyed the few evenings I had her as a patient. My heart goes out to you, her family, as I could sense how much you truly cared for her. My only hope is that you find peace in this difficult time knowing that her courageous battle is over.

As my heart breaks, I know He has His reasons. Mary Pat touched my family and myself in so many ways and was there for us so often I cannot put it all down. We have wept since we heard and also celebrated that God has a very special angel now. She will watch over us from His side and we will tell stories to those who didn't know her. There will never be anyone that touch and helped my family like she did. We will miss you Mary Pat.
