I was sorry to learn of the death of Pastor Blair whose acquaintance I was pleased to make across his retirement years in Greenville. Our ministry paths crossed from time to time, and we shared a fondness for the people of Lake Lutheran in Conneaut Lake. At one summer picnic there, he talked at length about his research into the history of the Sunday School, and I was impressed by his scholarship and continued desire to learn and teach. He was a gentleman as well as a pastor about whose life we could all say: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
